  • Aperture: f/2.8
  • ISO: 160
  • Focal length: 70mm

This week I had the pleasure of photographing my wonderful in-laws for their first maternity shoot! YAY! Everyone say congratulations! CONGRATULATIONS! They both have an awesome sense of humor and love to laugh. I have to be honest, I wasn't thinking of this week's prompt when I had them pose like this. I was trying to include a bit of their personalities in the photos. I had a hard time thinking of "funny" pictures, but this one was a happy accident to complete this prompt.

I think my favorite part is that you can tell Matt is giggling in the background. I didn't tell Michelle what we were doing and she didn't look back to peek either. She figured it out when I said "okay, now both look down at your bellies". I believe her response was a chuckle and "BOTH look down?"

My intention for this photo was to make it feel like a photobomb, yet posed, that is why I used f/2.8 and had the lens at 70mm. I really wanted to blowout the background still and keep Michelle the focus of the photo. I had a lot of fun doing their photos this past week and for being such good models!

And now, on to other photos from the week!

Speaking of Matt, Daniel loves his Uncle Matt. He asked to call Matt and then carried the phone around the house and would set it down and play. He hasn't grasped the idea that the camera has to see him. It was pretty funny to watch him try and show Matt things not understanding that he couldn't see.

Daniel also really likes to play the keyboard, and so does his truck, Mack!

And I leave you this week with a picture that I did not take, but one that my wife did. She captured a wonderful moment of Papaw with two of his grandkids. I really really like this picture because you can see the genuine smile and enjoyment on his face. He loves all of his grandkids and they all sure do love him right back.

Have a great week!
