It only took four weeks for my son to be the subject of one of the challenges. Although with the focus of this image, one could argue that he's not the focus but it is Lightning McQueen (MKee at my house).
Getting married was awesome, but there's nothing like being a father. And since becoming a father I have learned that there is no quieter time than nap time. Little kids play hard! Here we play hard with cars...lots and lots of cars! Sometimes we play until we fall asleep and sometimes we have to be told to go to sleep. Nothing beats the feeling of accomplishment (for a parent at least) when it is obtained.
It's said that the eyes are the "window to the soul"; I know McQueen doesn't have a soul since he's a toy, but I like that the toy is the only one "awake" in the image. It's almost like Toy Story and he's waiting for Daniel to wake up to continue playing. It's a simple image, but maybe I'm biased, I think it has an emotion to it. The quiet still of a sleeping baby juxtaposed by the wide awake of a toy, and the overflowing love for this little guy.
